Presenting a new silhouette from ASICS and Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov, the Gel-Kiril infuses track inspirations with a subtle twist of horse jockey style.
Taking things down a tonal route, Japanese sportswear brand ASICS and Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov present the latest in their on-going collaborative relationship - the Gel-Kiril sneaker. First appearing on the runway at Kostadinov's AW20 presentation at Paris Men's Fashion Week, the chunky sneaker mirrored the horse riding aesthetic that pervaded the apparel collection.
Combining a plethora of alternate textures and fabrics, mesh, leather and synthetic materials layer to create a durable and athletic sensibility. Detailed with a checkerboard pattern to the side walls for a flourish of horse-jockey inspired aesthetics, ASICS ensure that this avant-garde sneaker is rooted in technical practicality. Kitted out with the legendary brand's FlyteFoam midsole and GEL cushioning, the Gel-Kiril seamlessly blends concept and function to create a high-concept sneaker that will slide easily into any sneaker-centric rotation.
The ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov Gel-Kiril is available for registration online now via END. Launches.
