adidas takes a deep dive into its archives with the Moss Side, reworking the Japan-exclusive 1979 TRX from an eco-minded angle.
adidas delves into the archives to rework the 1979 TRX Runner — which was first introduced in Japan that very year — transforming it from an eco-focused angle and dubbing it the Moss Side.
The name is derived from an inner-city area in Manchester, paying homage to the city’s longstanding love of the three stripes and its integral ties to terrace culture.
It retains the shoe’s terrace-focused aesthetic, thanks to its clean-cut look, serrated three stripes and gold foil font, only it’s transformed using a bevy of eco-minded materials, with at least 50% of its construction made from recycled properties.
