KAWS and The North Face join forces for their debut collection, titled “XX KAWS”, marrying classic outerwear with bold contemporary art.
KAWS is a name that needs little introduction in the world of fashion, with Brian Donnelly long championing the intersection of art and streetwear. This season, the iconic artist continues his interdisciplinary approach to creativity, joining forces with legendary outerwear label, The North Face.
The collection represents a seamless fusion of both partners’ design codes, with KAWS delving into The North Face archives and using classic garments as the canvas for his bold and experimental artwork.
There’s everything from fan-favourite classics — like the 1986 Mountain Jacket and the 1996 Nupste — to accessories like balaclavas and beanies featuring in the collection, only each garment is transformed with an emphasis on abstract patterns and vibrant colours. To complete the collaborative look, each piece is detailed with KAWS’ signature “XX” motif alongside The North Face’s famous Half Dome logo.
