Feature-length documentary coming soon
Celebrating the legacy of a sneaker icon, award-winning media agency Los York has released the trailer for a feature-length documentary exploring the legacy of the iconic Air Jordan 1.
Venturing beyond the superficial to explore the wider cultural impact of the sneaker, the documentary looks at the importance of the AJ1 as a force for change in the US and beyond. Designed for basketball legend, Michael Jordan, the shoe and it's associated campaign broke new ground in America as it was the first time a person of colour was made the face of a global brand.
Mapping out the sneaker's controversial journey from concept to its current status as OG of one of the most widely recognisable sneaker empires on the planet today, the documentary features a slew of famous faces from Tinker Hatfield and Michael B. Jordan to DJ Khaled and Spike Lee.
The documentary is rumoured for full release this June.
