adidas SPEZIAL returns to END. for AW18 with a collection of apparel, footwear and accessories that continues to tell the story of Acid House in the year of its 30th anniversary.
Inspired by those parallels between the modern sound system subculture and early Acid House, it tells the story of how the fashion and music which shaped that era has had a lasting global influence – and the role adidas played in its rise to reverence.
Building on the success of SPEZIAL’s SS18 collection, AW18 reflects how the energy of the outdoor raves in the Summer of Love was transplanted into the underground of the warehouse parties, with ravers looking to continue the party, safe from the bleakness of the British winter.
The colour palette remains vibrant across an offering of graphic t-shirts, heritage-inspired footwear and accessories, but this time with a more winterised offering.
Celebrating the new look and ethos Acid House took on as it retreated back to the inner cities to continue the Summer of Love in a warmer environment for the winter months, adidas SPEZIAL has released this electric campaign film which champions the early days of the coveted warehouse rave.
