3 October 2023New Balance continues the iconic legacy of the 991 with its much-anticipated successor, the v2.
New Balance’s Made in UK division is something of legend status in the world of sneakers, and for good reason. For decades its symbolised the apex of sneaker quality, with New Balance taking a meticulous approach to construction techniques and utilising the very best materials available. A shoe that has sat at the forefront of this division is the 991, a sneaker that epitomises the refinement and quality the New Balance Made in divisions are known for.
Now, 22 years after the sneaker debuted, New Balance is marking another milestone in the sneaker’s illustrious history, debuting its much-anticipated follow up: the 991 v2. Much like the original sneaker, the emphasis is placed heavily on three things: quality, technology and refined aesthetics. The uppers are constructed using premium pigskin suede and mesh, with both coloured in New Balance-synonymous hues of grey. Underfoot, the usual ABZORB cushioning is joined by addition FuelCell technology to bring the sneaker firmly into the now. Each heel arrives detailed with “V2”, too, to drive home the sneaker’s updated look.
The New Balance 991 v2 will be available at END. Milan on the Friday 13th October.
