We're all currently riding the wave of the noughties resurgence and with it comes the Y2K aesthetic. Paris Fashion Week saw Skepta laced up in PUMA's futuristic sneaker, if he’s a fan we’re also a fan, where heads were turned with the premiere of the Velophasis Bionic, anticipated after the Big Smoke’s partnership with the sports giant was confirmed last year. PUMA goes back to go forward with this metaverse-esque model, which adopts elements from the COMPLETE line of the 2000s, which symbolised a new era in tech, marking the introduction of iCELL, e+CELL, and EverRide. The Velophasis Bionic does the techy millennial thing (with no apologies) whilst paying homage to its heritage. Old but new, panelling design is borrowed from runners of that era, but is decked out in a honeycomb mesh, with metallic padded sidewalls and electric blue inserts, adapted for the modern age.
