Celebrating 30 years since the OG Air Max silhouette debuted, Nike proudly placed their pioneering cushioned technology on display for the first time allowing athletes and sneakerheads alike to see the tooling at work.
Thirty years on, the technology has applied to countless silhouettes in endless variations, but the tooling has always remained the same. In honour of this momentous anniversary, Nike has unveiled a series of Air Max 1 Anniversary shoes to pay homage to the sneaker that made Air iconic. Featuring the same design as the OG legend, updated with modern materials in a retro, straight-out-of-the-80s colourway, for this iteration the shoe is given the obsidian treatment, accented with spacial pops of vibrant red for a sneaker that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
