THE ADIDAS CONSORTIUM CUP ROUND 3 VOTING IS NOW OPEN

Following on from our success in round 1 and 2 of adidas' first-ever Consortium Cup tournament - a sneaker design competition pitting collaborators head to head where you choose the winner - END. are proceeding into the third and final round, with the theme focussing on the Future of footwear with a dystopian iteration of the ZX8000.

The overall theme of END.’s approach is centred around the past, present and future of fabric applications in footwear, with the emphasis of this round on the future and the dystopian vision of the world as depicted in contemporary science-fiction cinema. Diving into that theme, the sneaker is reworked with an overdyed make-up, heat-transfer panels and reflective 3M detailing. Ripstop panels and birdseye mesh introduce a durable sensibility to the sneaker - a nod to the harsh conditions synonymous with dystopian fiction - while tonal branding to the heel, tongue and side wall complete this cinematic take on a classic adidas runner.
