12 May 2023Returning with a twist, Converse’s collaboration with Rick Owens’ DRKSHDW sees the spotlight land on the Chuck Taylor with the TURBODRK Laceless Hi.
Following on from the Californian designer’s previous collaborations with the American footwear stalwarts, Rick Owens presents a duo of DRKSHDW TURBODRW Laceless Hi sneakers that transform with classic form of the Converse Chuck Taylor baseball sneaker with exaggerated proportions and unconventional aesthetics.
Built to be worn without laces, an elongated tongue protrudes from the top of the sneaker, while an extended toebox creates a sculptural visual style that nods to Rick Owens’ work as an avant-garde designer. Complete with co-branded details, this distinctive twist on an icon of 20th century design continues to astound and intrigue in equal measure.
