25 YEARS OF THE TN THROUGH THE EYES OF TOUGH LUCK @ OLD COAL YARD – EVENT RECAP
26 September 2023We celebrated 25 years of the Air Max Plus alongside Tough Luck at Old Coal Yard.
In honour of the legendary Nike Air Max Plus turning 25 this year — a sneaker that’s been deeply immersed in a myriad of subcultures for decades — we linked up with Tough Luck to host a celebratory evening at Old Coal Yard, Newcastle upon Tyne. Tough Luck is a community-based platform that spotlights up-and-coming youth culture photographers from around the world, its roots embedded in the subcultures integral to the TN.
The evening saw END. and Tough Luck takeover Old Coal Yard for a celebratory evening dedicated to the iconic Air Max Tn. This comprised of both a commemorative exhibition — which spotlighted the Tough Luck community and its deep appreciation for the Air Max Tn.
Alongside this, the evening was soundtracked by key members of the Tough Luck community, with sets provided by Dyslecta, Westy and Cousin Dan.
