It's well known that Paris is the hub of all things fashion. Home of haute couture, the City of Love's street style continues to showcase the global vision of the world's fashion elite. Regarded with the utmost respect and visionary in its continued pursuit of stylistic excellence, the streets of Paris fill twice-yearly with a plethora of esoterically dressed attendees, each wearing garments from formal suiting to the latest and greatest in streetwear. Extending to footwear, Paris illuminates the great variety in styles seen proudly displayed over the past week, offering a celebration of the current fashion sphere's favoured sneaker silhouettes.

Continuing to prove ever-popular, Nike sneakers were spotted in droves. Ranging from their Vomero 5 sneaker in electric green to high heat collaborations with Sacai and Comme Des Garçons, Swoosh branding was hard to miss this season. A favourite selection from the Beaverton brand's recent BeTrue pack, the Air Max 90 celebrated pride month in a kaleidoscope of colours, each representative of the eight stripes of Gilbert Baker's original rainbow flag design from 1978.

Collaborations were popular across the board, with the ASICS x GmbH Gel-Kayano 5 sneaker offering a subtle, washed out take on dad-core chunkiness. adidas and Belgian designer Raf Simons' iconic Ozweego was seen glinting in the summer sun, and with a lower portion rendered in a metallic silver tone, it was hard to miss this maximalist staple of sneaker style.

The proverbial new kids on the block, Salomon have been enjoying new found fame within the fashion world for their rugged and hardy aesthetic. Well known and respected for their outdoor capabilities and founded in 1947, Salomon have found their way into the sneaker universe, offering a tactical and practical sensibility fit for the contemporary war-core look.

Rounded out with Paris' signature penchant for high-end apparel and footwear, Balenciaga, Maison Margiela and Dior Homme were out en masse. The Triple S 2 from Demna Gvasalia's label delivered their trademark oversized look, while Margiela's deconstructed Fusion sneaker was sure to turn some heads. Dior's B23 baseball sneaker added a healthy dose of branded style to proceedings, ensuring an elegant offering with a twist of classic sportswear aesthetics.
