adidas's Latest Superstar Taps Skate Legend Gonz

A skateboarding legend that needs no introduction, Mark "Gonz" Gonzales has spent the past four decades as one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. An icon of the pursuit, Gonz was credited with popularising what is now known as "street skateboarding".

Continuing his collaboration with adidas, following last year's Superstar, Gonz presents his second take on the Superstar ADV silhouette. A reconfigured model that forgoes the original's basketball inclination, this rendition is primed and ready to be trashed on a board.

Featuring Gonz' "Shmoo" character across the model's black leather uppers, this slimmer and lighter version of the Superstar ADV encapsulates his ever-present influence as a skateboarding legend and a talented artist. A tactical take on a classic, pops of colour around the "Shmoo" appliqué add a quiet burst of playfulness to the robust and comfortable sneaker.
