Launching 15th December.
The second collaboration between Nike and Soulland, the “FRI.day 2.0” capsule looks to the movement of Nordic skaters from low temperatures, rugged weather, and compares the northern hemisphere's lack of light to the heat of California.
This time focusing on the Nike SB's Dunk silhouette, the Danish-based skatewear outfit practise the art of deconstruction, applying a creative freedom to update the skatepark classic.
Deconstructing and reimagining the Dunk Low, the model is built with black leather, suede and textile uppers, featuring contrast 3M reflective piping at the side panels. For the Dunk High, Soulland worked to deconstruct the rugged leather uppers and applied a double Swoosh – one stitched and one mini jewel – to the side wall, while FRI.day lettering finishes off the playful approach to fabric and detailing.
We’re happy to continue the collaboration with Nike. It’s been a pleasure as both a designer and a skateboarder to work on such a classic as the Dunk. It has been particularly fun with the creative freedom that allowed us to give it a complete overhaul.- Silas Adler, Soulland -
Completing a year of celebrations, it seems for the 15th anniversary of the Dunk Nike SB has saved the best for last – channelling the true spirit of Soulland.
The Nike SB x Soulland Dunk High and Dunk Low are now available for registration on END. Launches.
