Salehe Bembury is a footwear designer carving his own space in the sneaker sphere, acting in a state of constant experimentation with his boundary-pushing creations. Nowhere is that sensibility clearer than with Crocs and Bembury's Pollex clog: a hyper-innovative exploration into form and function.
The latest, dubbed the “Kuwata”, exemplifies Salehe Bembury’s cutting-edge vision; it’s moulded construction features ridges and air vents throughout — the latter aligning with high-heat areas of the feet for breathability — which is modelled after three of Bembury’s fingerprints fused together. The colour used with the “Kuwata” adds to the progressiveness of the Pollex's aesthetic, with a faded shade of pink used throughout.
