Kenzo Takada's iconic Tiger returns.

Signature Backpack

Never one to shy away from the spotlight, Parisian fashion house Kenzo continues to steal the show with its bold offerings this season. Renowned for its use of colour and the iconic tiger motif, Kenzo is also famed for its politically charged collections. Having already taken on climate change and other topical subjects in recent seasons, Co-Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon wanted to show the label’s fun side this time around.

We wanted to almost step back and really have fun with this collection. I think we use our platform so instinctively for different reasons, and this time we just wanted to use it for joy.- Humberto Leon, Kenzo -

Contrasting cultures, colours and silhouettes flooded the runway, and with an all Asian casting, Kenzo took its chance to demonstrate versatility and the brand’s roots in Japanese heritage. Looking to the archives for a denim heavy offering inspired by Kenzo Takada’s denim of the ‘70s, the collection sees classic jackets and shirts updated with Kenzo’s colourful sensibilities, while exploring a mix of tailored pieces and retro sports styles.

Filled with vibrant sweats decorated with the beloved tiger motif and tapered joggers in suiting fabrics, Kenzo reiterates its outlook on diversity, while the label’s branding is stamped throughout. From tailored shirts and casual tees to its namesake designer’s signature printed on a backpack, Kenzo showcases the original brilliance of the brand; reimagined for the modern audience of luxury apparel.
