Established in 2002 by two friends looking to inject a sense of community into the increasingly corporatised New York fashion scene, Opening Ceremony is built on a foundation of multinational creativity and a celebration of spirit.

Named after the iconic prelude to the quadrennial Olympic Games, Opening Ceremony captures the spirit of its namesake by celebrating cross-cultural references, collaboration, and instilling a sense of positivity and possibility in all of the label's output.

Under careful curation by the label's founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon - perhaps better know as the Co-Creative Directors of quirky Parisian house, Kenzo - Opening Ceremony has forged a niche for itself built upon an experiential approach to retail; an eclectic design sensibility; and a philanthropic DNA which has seen the business champion and promote the success of a range of up-and-coming designers on the international fashion scene.

Returning to their Olympic-inspired heritage to explore their fundamental idea of creating clothes that fostered community and had cultural value, Lim and Leon have delivered a limited edition capsule under Opening Ceremony's 'Torch' sub-brand. Imbued with a youthful energy and innovative spirit, the collection brings the Opening Ceremony aesthetic and ethos to the street, delivering a range of luxury streetwear staples in an impactful flurry of silhouettes and colours.

Internationally revered for its position as a key force in the cultivation of design-led conversations on a global stage, Opening Ceremony has adapted its aesthetic language to speak directly to the streetwear market, and it doesn't disappoint.
