STONE ISLAND SHADOW PROJECT began as a collaborative exploration of the frontier at the fringes of high-specification garment development between Stone Island's Carlo Rivetti and the design team best known for their technical sportswear product released under the moniker ACRONYM®.

Intended as a platform for experimentation, SHADOW PROJECT rapidly evolved into a system based program for a new generation of urban apparel to rejuvenate the specification-obsessive streetwear market.

Capitalising of Stone Island’s incredible historical archive, unparalleled development resources, and experimental DNA,  ACRONYM® sought to embark upon a design project that synthesized the expertise of both halves of the partnership to create product that couldn't have been realised any other way.

The result is an unprecedented fusion, the likes of which remain unmatched in the collaboration arena to date. An intellectual design conversation and beautiful distillation of form and function that pushes the envelope of what is possible in garment development.
