Paying tribute to its long history of innovation with the N. 354 division, Nike takes elements from unseen prototypes to create sample-like sneakers unlike anything from their mainline selection.

The Air Zoom Type is no exception, with its inspiration coming largely from the initial prototype of the performance-focused, record-breaking Air Zoom Alphafly Next%. Most obvious through the sole, where a double-stacked Zoom Air unit sits exposed in the forefoot, it is also hinted through the sleek uppers. The main difference, however, is the intention. With their luxe suede uppers and less extreme design lines, they’re built for all-day comfort rather than for fast-paced marathons.
