STONE ISLAND SHADOW PROJECT began as a discourse between Stone Island owner Carlo Rivetti and the design team of Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh, best known for their technical sportswear product released under the moniker ACRONYM®.

As a platform for exploration, SHADOW PROJECT rapidly evolved into a system based program for a new generation of urban masculine apparel.

Thanks to Stone Island’s incredible historical archive, unparalleled development resources, and experimental DNA,  ACRONYM® sought to embark upon a collaborative project that would synthesize the technical and performance based roots of arguably the world's two leading experimental techwear labels.

The result is an unprecedented fusion, the likes of which remain unmatched in the collaboration arena to date. An intellectual conversation and beautiful distillation of form and function.
