Nike Classic Cortez 'Kenny Moore' Pack - Launching 25th August
25 April 2019A celebration of the retro silhouette's heritage, Nike honour the shoe's inspiration with the 'Kenny Moore' pack.
In honour of the untold heritage of the classic Cortez, Nike's latest iteration of the silhouette is inspired by the man who first tested the responsive running shoe.
Coached by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman while distance running at the University of Oregon, Kenny Moore sustained an injury brought on by inappropriate footwear for the track.
Inspired to innovate a more responsive shoe to solve the underlying design issues that caused Moore's injuries, Bowerman developed the now iconic Cortez silhouette.
Based on these early prototypes, the 'Kenny Moore' pack features two nylon and one suede colourway and will launch 25th August.
