After being teased last year, the much-anticipated Nike SB X Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green ”is finally getting a release. It represents a fusion of two sporting worlds from different ends of the spectrum, both united through a desire for performance, cushioning and durability.
At first glance, the sneakers have that familiar, AJ4-typical look we know and love, though dig a little deeper and you’ll find there are some SB alterations. The shape, for instance, is designed to resemble the original ’89 release for increased comfort, while the tongue is thicker and padded for enhanced support. Elsewhere, the sneaker's features are reinforced for increase durability — from reinforced wings to a flexible, SB-branded heel — in addition to a reworked sole unit for better board feel. The colourway is of note, too, with a white base and pine green hits for a nod to St. Patrick’s Day.
