With the latest colourways of the 550, New Balance continue to cement the sneaker's position as a frontrunner in the contemporary sneaker sphere.
Since the 550 was re-released in 2020 by Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore, the b-ball-derived sneaker has went from archival obscurity to global reverence, with the silhouette representing one of the most sought-after in the contemporary sneaker sphere.
The 550 momentum shows no signs of slowing down, either, as the latest releases from New Balance show.
The sneaker is released in a trio of colourways: a low-key, all-black pair, a white, burgundy and light blue version and a white and light orange iteration. Each one retains that aesthetic synonymous with both the sport and the era the 550 originated, thanks to their classic panelling, chunky shape and basketball-inspired branding on the tongues.
