CollaborationsEND. PRESENTS "BLACKJACK" WITH NEEDLES AND BLACKSTOCK & WEBER
7 November 2022END., Needles and Blackstock & Weber come together for a multi-brand capsule titled "Blackjack", inspired by the iconic namesake card game.
END., Needles and Blackstock & Weber join forces for a multi-brand collection titled “Blackjack”: a capsule inspired by the legendary card game and its iconic visual codes. For the apparel in the capsule, END. reunites with Keizo Shimizu’s Needles, following on from the “Monarch” collection that debuted at the beginning of this year. The collection is comprised of five of Needles signatures, with each piece coloured in black and off-white and meticulously detailed with references to the iconic card game.
Needles’ synonymous tracksuiting is reworked in the collection’s black and off-white palette, which includes its signature grosgrain striping and the bespoke, co-branded embroidery at the chest and thigh. The vacation shirt, meanwhile, is cut from pure cotton to a relaxed fit, with card suits printed throughout to achieve a bold look. Needles’ signature cardigan is brought under the spotlight, too, with club suits intricately woven into its mohair-rich construction. Rounding off the apparel is another Needles mainstay, the Bermuda bucket hat, coloured in the collection’s black and off-white and detailed with co-branded embroidery.
The footwear in the collection sees Blackstock & Weber and END. come together for the first time, with a premium and detail-heavy approach taken. The Brooklyn-based label’s Ellis Penny loafer forms the focal point of the partnership, with a transformation reflective of the collaborative theme. It’s handmade in Portugal using pebbled leather sourced from Tanneries du Puy, which is rendered in black and off-white and embroidered with card suits at the vamps, in keeping with the collection’s theme. The sole, meanwhile, adheres to Blackstock & Weber’s premium standards, with a double leather construction and a Goodyear welt.
